4to; 261 x 200 mm. Early 19th-century quarter calf over marbled boards. Spine with gilt lines and title. Pp. XII, 508 [VIII]. Two general titles and six titles to the fascicules, each with an engraved title vignette; six engraved dedication leaves, and 18 engraved plates. Engraved head and tail pieces to each chapter. A good, wide-margined copy. Title page to the second part bound after the title to fascicule VI. Vague, unobtrusive library stamp on first title and the praefatio; a few small spots and some staining to outer upper edges, but never heavy, otherwise a very good copy.

Condition Report

Important early flora of the Viennese area. Although all published in the same year, as usual in a mixed edition being editio altera et aucta for the first volume (three chapters), and editio prima for volume II, which contains the last three chapters (see also Stafleu and Cowan).
