Condition Report

This edition contains an appendix not present in the first edition, which has a section called Tea Leaves, actually random travel memories, which without a doubt enjoyed Robert Fortune, an eminent explorer who traveled extensively, and wrote about the regions of India and China tea. The work is written in the form of a diary, with a schematic description of the daily occurrences of this trip from China to England, which began on July 17, 1858, on a Saturday, and ended on Sunday November 14 of the same year. Albert Smith was known for his entertaining lessons at the Egyptian Hall, the most famous of which was his ascension to Mont Blanc in 1851. Smith died in 1860 and this rare publication was also his last one. The date of publication appears from the date posted at the end of the preface of the work.
