Condition Report

Elegantly embossed collection of three short naturist Lorgna essays, on the algebraic series, on the cubic equations, and on " una Cissoide differente da una Dioclea". Antonio Mario Lorgna 1735-1798, from Verona, a pupil of Poleni, was among the major Italian mathematicians of the second half of the 18th century; he had multi-faceted interests, dealing also with physics, meteorology, civil and military engineering, reclamation; he also worked as a hydraulic engineer at the service of the Republic of Venice.
