Condition Report

Very beautiful and rare edition edited by Zoppino. Bruni, in this work, analyzes the war between the Romans and the Goths. Leonardo Bruni, recognized as the most important humanist historian of the early Renaissance, was Chancellor of Florence and served as an apostolic secretary under four popes. As a humanist, his Latin translations of Greek historical and philosophical works were essential, including his translations by Aristotle and Procopius.
