Condition Report
Rare first illustrated edition. The work is an important source of art history and at the same time an orignal architectural treatise in which Ruskin applies to the buildings of Venice the general principles enunciated in his previous Seven Lamps of Architecture. The illustrations in the text and the tables are taken from the author's original drawings.
