Condition Report

The tables, with their explanatory text, shows the variations of the flow and the reflux of the tides for a five-year period; and the barometric variations in the various periods of the year, calculated on average eight years, for the period 1725-72. The author was among the initiators of scientific meteorology, based on long experimental observations. Giuseppe Toaldo 1719-97), a renowned mathematician and meteorologist from Vicenza, was a professor at the University of Padua. For his meteorological observations he built an observatory on the famous Ezzelino tower, where he carried out patient researches, especially those that then called the "toaldian cycles".
