3 vols., large 4to, 270x195 mm.; sewing binding, title written on the spine. Printer's device on title page of the three vol depicting a bearded man sitting in his right hand raised a phoenix and in the left a book. In the first vol. a copper plate folded out text. Fine copy with wide margins.

Condition Report

Second edition of Bembo's translation. The political and literary Bembo belonging to the famous Venetian patrician family was known in literary terms as a serious translator and capable of Plato's works. The work is furthermore enriched by the Serano records, which essentially contain almost all the doctrine of the Greek philosopher.
