In-8vo, mm. 200 x 120. Leg. piena pergamena epoca con titolo in oro entro tassello. Pp. (16), 836, (4), con una tabella in rame f.t. (Caractéres Chymiques), e 6 tavole in rame nel testo riproducente apparati chimici. Lieve velatura di umidità, ma ottimo es. 

Importante edizione di quest'opera che contrassegnò un'intera epoca nella storia della chimica.  Il testo costituì per oltre un secolo,l'autorità principale, il manuale obbligato della chimica pre-lavoisieriana, grazie alla sua chiarezza e concretezza, che lo rendevano pratico e accessibile a tutti. "It was also written in a modern language and could be used by an increasing number of readers not familiar with Latin... The processes described in the book had been carried out by its author".
