Xilografia in coloritura coeva. 440 x 265 mm., con ampi margini. Bell’esemplare.


Due pagine unite in unico foglio. Nella prima l’animata incisione in brillante coloritura, nella seconda la “Règle” con il testo inquadrato in cornice lineare nera. Sotto il titolo l’indicazione “A Paris, Chez Fournier, rue S. Jacques…”, in basso “Tom Pouce”. Il “Général Tom Pouce”, era un nano che costituiva una delle principali attrazioni del Circo Barnum; intorno al 1850, rilanciò l’interesse per i nani e al tempo stesso per il gioco nato nel ‘700.
