Cartoncino di 100 x 76 mm. Firma in penna blu sotto la scritta dattiloscritta: “Autographe de Monsieur le Professeur Arthur-Léonard SCHAWLOW, né en 1921, physicien américain, qui découvrit en 1958, avec le Professeur Ch-H Townes, le laser? Ottimo stato di conservazione. 

Arthur Leonard Schawlow, 1921 – 1999, è stato un fisico americano e co-inventore del laser con Charles Townes. Ha condiviso il Premio Nobel per la Fisica nel 1981 con Nicolaas Bloembergen e Kai Siegbahn per il suo lavoro utilizzando i laser per determinare i livelli di energia atomica con grande precisione.
