Nineteenth-century copy of the original engraved by the Durer of 1511. Splendid engraving one of the most representative of the brilliant graphic work of Durer. The engraving represents seconds after the decapitation, Salomè shows the head of John the Baptist to king Herod. The action takes place at the banquet of Herod’s palace in Jerusalem. The monogram dated is present in the lower left side.
