Bulino, 211x318 mm; tagliata ai margini. Monogramma del Durer e anno di stampa in alto a sx. Ottimo stato di conservazione. 

Copia ottocentesca dell’originale inciso dal Durer del 1518. Quest’incisione rappresenta un capolavoro di prospettiva e chiarezza e attesta l’interesse di Durer per l’artiglieria e le fortificazioni. Il cannone inciso fu lo stesso utilizzato nella guerra contro i Turchi da Massimiliano I. Il paesaggio sullo sfondo rappresenta la zona tra Bamberga e Norimberga.

Burin, 211x318 mm; trimmed at the edge. Durer monogram and year of printing top left. Good conditions.

Nineteenth-century copy of the original engraved by Durer of 1518. This engraving represents a masterpiece of perspective and clarity and attests Durer's interest in artillery and fortifications. The engraved cannon was the same used in the war against the Turks by Maximilian I. The landscape in the background represents the area between Bamberg and Nuremberg.
