15 incisioni mm. 95x63. Bellissime carte da gioco impresse su carta vergellata. Ottimo stato di conservazione.

Sebald Beham è stato un pittore e incisore tedesco, noto principalmente per le sue incisioni molto piccole. Era uno dei più importanti dei "Piccoli Maestri", il gruppo di artisti tedeschi che producevano stampe nella generazione successiva a Dürer. Realizzò anche stampe da utilizzare come carte da gioco e carta da parati.
Le sue incisioni coprono una vasta gamma di soggetti, ma è particolarmente noto per scene di vita contadina e scene del mito o della storia classica, entrambe spesso con un elemento erotico.

Sebald Beham was a German painter and printmaker, best known for his very small engravings. He was one of the most important of the "Little Masters", the group of German artists who produced prints in the generation following Dürer. He also made prints for use as playing cards and wallpaper.
His engravings cover a wide range of subjects, but he is particularly known for scenes from peasant life and scenes from myth or classical history, both often with an erotic element.
