Acquaforte, 219x111 mm. In basso a sx in lastra la scritta "Callot f. à Paris 1629, Israel excudit". Incollata su cartoncino leggero. Restauro al centro dell’inciso. Buono stato di conservazione.

Jacques Callot grande incisore francese, tra il 1628 e il 1631 Callot soggiornò più volte a Parigi, dove a partire dal 1629 affidò a Israël Henriet, amico d'infanzia, l'edizione delle sue lastre. L'opera presentata appartiene a questo periodo. Pare peraltro che Callot avesse progettato quest'opera nel 1619/1620 con lo sfondo di un porto italiano, che alla morte dell'artista venne sostituito dall'Henriet con una veduta della città di Parigi. Etching, 219x111 mm. Bottom left in the plate the inscription "Callot f. À Paris 1629, Israel excudit". Glued on light cardboard. Restoration in the center of the engraving. Good condition.

Jacques Callot, great French engraver, between 1628 and 1631 Callot stayed several times in Paris, where starting from 1629 he entrusted the edition of his plates to Israël Henriet, a childhood friend. The work presented belongs to this period. Moreover, it seems that Callot had designed this work in 1619/1620 with the background of an Italian port, which on the death of the artist was replaced by Henriet with a view of the city of Paris.
