Xilografia; Foglio mm. 392 x 304; 12 vignette con testo in olandese. Margini. Buon stato di conservazione. Margini.

Rarissimo foglio volante, probabile prova di stampa. In dodici vignette sono raffigurate scene belliche delle campagne militari degli olandesi, fra cui le battaglie di Groningen, Coevorden, Zeeland, Dogger Bank, Kattenburg, Amstelveen e Maastricht; sotto le immagini le didascalie di due righe in rima. L’ultima vignetta riguarda la battaglia di Waterloo dove il futuro re Guglielmo II fu ferito. De Meyer, Volks-en kinderprent, p. 344 [Wijnhoven 37]. Un esemplare simile, con le indicazioni tipografiche sul margine inferiore, presso la Koninklijke Bibliotheek, che data la stampa negli anni fra il 1832 e il 1849.

Extremely rare flyleaf, probably proof of print. Twelve vignettes depict war scenes from the Dutch military campaigns, including the battles of Groningen, Coevorden, Zeeland, Dogger Bank, Kattenburg, Amstelveen and Maastricht; below the images the captions of two rhyming lines. The last cartoon concerns the Battle of Waterloo where the future King William II was wounded. De Meyer, Volks-en kinderprent, p. 344 [Wijnhoven 37]. A similar copy, with typographical indications on the lower margin, at the Koninklijke Bibliotheek, which dates the printing in the years between 1832 and 1849.
