4to piccolo. 244x190 mm. Pagine 6, 2 bianche. In testa, grande vignetta ornamentale impressa in xilografia. Tracce d’uso.

Rarissima placchetta rivoluzionaria. La legge, in XII articoli, ratifica il Decreto dell’Assemblea Nazionale del 9 settembre: prevede aiuti agli artisti che per le loro scoperte, le loro opere e le loro ricerche nelle arti utili, avranno meritato di poter ottenere le ricompense nazionali. La legge è firmata da Marguerite-Louis- François Duport, all’epoca ministro della Giustizia. Fu una delle vittime del Terrore: accusato di cospirazione fu arrestato nell’agosto 1792: malgrado l'opinione a lui favorevole di Marat, fu condannato a morte e ghigliottinato insieme con Barnave.

Very rare revolutionary booklet. The law, in XII articles ratifies the Decree of the National Assembly of 9 September: it provides aid to artists who, for their discoveries, their works and their research in the useful arts, will have deserved to be able to obtain national rewards. The law is signed by Marguerite-Louis-François Duport, Minister of Justice at the time. He was one of the victims of the Terror: accused of conspiracy he was arrested in August 1792: despite Marat's favorable opinion, he was sentenced to death and guillotined together with Barnave.
