Acquaforte con due immagini distinte. 170x255 mm. Margini. Carta vergellata. Iscrizioni: sotto l’immagine a sinistra “Salvator Mundi”; sotto l’immagine a destra “Mater Salvatoris”. Buono stato di conservazione. 

Rarissima stampa devozionale dei Remondini. Gesù e la Madonna, entrambi entro cornici ornate, sono ritratti a mezzo busto, in maniera inconsueta rispetto ai titoli che li designano. La Mater Salvatoris è una Madonna in aspettazione del parto; Il Salvator Mundi è un'iconografia di Gesù che raffigura Cristo con la mano destra alzata in segno di benedizione e la mano sinistra che detiene il Globo.

Etching with 2 illustrations. 170x225 mm. Margins. Laid paper. Insciption on the left under the illustration “Salvator Mundi”; on the right: “Mater Salvatoris”. Good condition.

Very rare devotional print by the Remondini. Jesus and the Virgin, both in ornate frames, are half-length portraits, in an unusual way with respect to the titles that designate them. The Mater Salvatoris is a Madonna in expectation of childbirth; The Salvator Mundi is an iconography of Jesus depicting Christ with his right hand raised in blessing and his left hand holding the Globe.
