Manifesto originale dello Champagne Besserat de Bellefon, Cuvée des Moines. La Maison Besserat è stata fondata nel 1843 ad Ay da Edmond Besserat. Fin dall'inizio egli decide di distribuire il suo champagne in hotel, ristoranti ed enoteche. Nel 1920, Edmond Besserat, nipote del fondatore, sposa Yvonne Méric de Bellefon. Da questa unione, la casa Besserat de Bellefon prende il nome attuale. Aÿ è un comune vinicolo nel centro-ovest del dipartimento della Marna e della regione Champagne-Ardenne, vicino a Epernay.

Original Poster of the Champagne Besserat de Bellefon, Cuvée des Moines. The Besserat House was founded in 1843 in Aÿ by Edmond Besserat. From the beginning, he decides to distribute his champagne in hotels, restaurants and wine shops. In 1920, Edmond Besserat (second name and grandson of the founder) marries Yvonne Méric de Bellefon. From this union, the house Besserat de Bellefon takes its current name. Aÿ is a wine-producing commune in the center-west of the Marne department and the Champagne-Ardenne region, near Epernay.
