XIX secolo
Gruppo di 13 incisioni di varie dimensioni di piccolo formato di 90x65 mm ca (inciso). Frontespizio più le 12 scene di martirio degli apostoli. Incollate ad un foglio di supporto (4 incisioni per foglio, più uno con solo il frontespizio per un totale di 4 fogli). Belle impressioni. 

Belle impressioni in controparte rispetto agli originali di Callot. 
Il martirio dei dodici apostoli è una serie di incisioni di Jacques Callot. Si tratta di una serie di piccole scene, spesso intitolate “I piccoli apostoli” o “Il martirio degli apostoli”, che raffigurano i vari apostoli di Cristo che subiscono il martirio. Callot realizzò questa serie intorno al 1632 e ogni incisione mostra un apostolo diverso in una situazione di martirio. L'artista è noto per il suo stile dettagliato e per la sua capacità di rappresentare scene complesse con grande finezza.

Gruppo di 13 incisioni di varie dimensioni di piccolo formato di 90x72 mm ca (inciso). Frontespizio più le 12 scene della Passione di Cristo. Ogni incisione è incollata ad un foglio di supporto. Belle impressioni.

Edizione successiva della “Piccola Passione”. Incisioni in controparte rispetto agli originali di Callot.
Tutte le incisioni sono firmate sulla lastra (“J. Callot”) e con un passo biblico in didascalia con spiegazione della scena.

Otto incisioni di 145x104 mm. ca. Numerate in basso a dx. A sx:”Callot in et fe”. Ogni incisione è incollata ad un foglio di supporto. Buono stato di conservazione.

Serie di otto incisioni da Callot facenti parte della serie “Le Guex o Les Mendiants, Les Baroni ou Les Barons”.
Sono presenti le incisioni: 4. Le Mendiant aux bequilles coiffé d’un bonnet; 8. Les deux mendiantes; 12. Le Mendiant a la tete decouverte et aux pieds nus. 13. Le Malingreux. 16. La Mendiante aux bequilles; 19. Le gueux appuyé sur un baton; 22. L’aveugle et son chien. 23. La Mendiante venant de recevivoir la charité.

Tre incisioni da Callot facenti parte della serie “Les Grands Apotres”.
Sono presenti le incisioni: Le Sauveur; St. Simon e St. Thaddee ou St. Jude. In queste ultime due incisioni compaiono in basso: a sx: “Callot fec.”, in basso a dx: “Israel excud.”
Dietro il Salvatore la scena della Crocifissione e della Resurrezione, dietro i santi a sinistra le loro opere di evangelizzazione e a destra la scena del loro martirio.

Group of 13 engravings of various sizes in small format of c. 90x65 mm (engraved). Titlepage plus the 12 martyrdom scenes of the apostles. Glued to a backing sheet (4 engravings per sheet, plus one with titlepage only for a total of 4 sheets). Fine impressions. 

Fine impressions in counterparts to Callot's originals. 
Martyrdom of the Twelve Apostles is a series of engravings by Jacques Callot. It is a series of small scenes, often titled “The Little Apostles” or “The Martyrdom of the Apostles,” depicting the various apostles of Christ undergoing martyrdom. Callot made this series around 1632, and each engraving shows a different apostle in a martyrdom situation. The artist is known for his detailed style and his ability to depict complex scenes with great finesse.
