4to, 220x168 mm. Legatura coeva in pergamena, impressioni a secco ai piatti, titolo manoscritto al dorso. Antiporta incisa figurata, Frontespizio a stampa in rosso e nero. Carte 13, pagine 764, 12. 2 incisioni in rame nel testo, 66 carte geografiche. Difetti alla legatura. Annotazioni manoscritte cancellate al verso del foglio di guardia. Alcune gore d’acqua in diversi punti, più pesanti all’inizio e in fine. Fori di tarlo su diverse carte che coinvolgono marginalmente il testo, leggera brunitura. Le ultime due carte con danni d’acqua e piccole perdite di testo.

Prima e unica edizione. Con 66 mappe ripiegate incise da Sanson-Winter, tra cui una mappa del mondo, mappe dell'Africa, dell'Asia, dell'Europa e 15 mappe relative all'America: Brasile, California, Canada, Florida, Caraibi, Messico, Nord e Sud America ecc.
Sabin: “Part v. relates to America, and contains Sanson’s maps of America, Canada, Florida, Guatemala, Guiana, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Carribbee Islands, Chili, Brasil, etc.”

4to, 220x168 mm. Contemporary vellum binding, blindtooling on covers, handwritten title on spine. Engraved illustrated frontispiece, title-page printed in red and black. Leaves 13, pp. 764, 12. Two copper engravings in the text, 66 geographic maps. Defects on bindings. Erased handwritten notes on end-paper. Some waterstaining in places, heavier at beginning and to final. Wormholes on some leaves in some cases 
marginally involving the text, slight browning. Last 2 leaves with water damage and small losses of text.

First and only edition, with engraved title and 66 engravings folding maps by Sanson-Winter, including world map, maps of Africa, Asia, Europe and 15 maps relating to America: Brazil, California, Canada, Florida, Caribbean, Mexico, North & South America etc.
