Torino, 14 aprile 1672

1 pagina di 310 x 210 mm. Lettera firmata con l'intestazione «Duca di Savoia, Re di Cipro, e c.». Testo in francese in bella grafia in inchiostro nero. Sul retro intestazione della lettera. Ottima conservazione.

Lettera firmata di Carlo Emanuele II (Torino 1634-1675), Duca di Savoia e Principe del Piemonte dal 1638 al 1675. Figlio di Vittorio Emanuele I, Duca di Savoia, e di Cristina di Francia. La lettera è indirizzata a Chambery al Barone d'Arvillars, capitano di uno squadrone di cavalleria dei Savoia.
«Le zèle que vous avez pour notre service nous est agréable, et nous en faisons estime, d’autant plus connaissant votre capacité. La conjoncture présente ne nous permet pas de satisfaire à votre désir…».

1 page, 310 x 210 mm. Letter signed with the heading "Duke of Savoy, King of Cyprus, and co." Text in French, beautifully handwritten in black ink. Letter heading on the back. Excellent condition.

Signed letter from Charles Emmanuel II (Turin 1634-1675), Duke of Savoy and Prince of Piedmont from 1638 to 1675. Son of Victor Emmanuel I, Duke of Savoy, and Christina of France. The letter is addressed to Baron d'Arvillars, captain of a Savoy cavalry squadron, in Chambéry.
"The zeal you have for our service is pleasant, and we estimate that in doing so, you are more aware of your capabilities. The present configuration does not allow us to satisfy your desire...".
