Folio; 330x240 mm. Pp. 8. Grande vignetta xil. raffigurante lo stemma del Duca di Savoia. Bell’esemplare ad ampi margini e in barbe. 

Raro ed affascinante pamphlet sul divieto del gioco d’azzardo voluto dal Senato di Savoia e dato alle stampe nella vecchia capitale Savoiarda. 
Il documento affronta il tema dei giochi d’azzardo e dei loro effetti negativi sulla società che ha spinto le autorità ad intervenire. Nel documento sono inoltre riportati quali tra i giochi d’azzardo sono considerati dannosi e quali “di commercio”, utili per mantenere legami sociali se praticati con moderazione.

A rare and fascinating pamphlet on the ban on gambling, imposed by the Senate of Savoy and printed in the former Savoyard capital.
The document addresses the issue of gambling and its negative effects on society, which prompted the authorities to intervene. The document also lists which gambling games are considered harmful and which are considered "commercial" and useful for maintaining social bonds if practiced in moderation.
