Un foglio in 4to. 235x184 mm. Testo sulla prima pagina e parte della seconda su carta intestata «Division Bureau du Commerce» e «Le Ministre de l’Interieur». Nitida scrittura in corsivo inchiostro seppia, altra scrittura, più rapida, in inchiostro nero. Buona conservazione. 

Lettera, firmata in qualità di Ministro dell'Interno, inviata al Cittadino Jean-Baptiste Collin, Conte de Sussy, Consigliere di Stato, Direttore Generale delle Dogane a Parigi. Riguarda due lotti difettosi di cashemere che devono rientrare dalla Svizzera, da restituire in franchigia. Sul margine una lunga annotazione manoscritta in inhiostro nero del Conte de Sussy. Jean-Antoine Chaptal, conte di Chanteloup, 1756 - 1832, eminente chimico, nonché medico, agronomo, industriale, statista, educatore e filantropo, fu nominato Ministro dell’Interno da Napoleone nel 1800, e fu molto attivo nel promuovere l’industrializzazione e la riorganizzazione dell’amministrazione francese. Mantenne la carica fino alle sue dimissioni, il 6 agosto 1804.

One 4to sheet. 235 x 184 mm. Text on the first page and part of the second on letterhead "Division Bureau du Commerce" and "Le Ministre de l’Interieur". Clear italic writing in sepia ink, other, quicker writing in black ink. Good condition.

Letter, signed in his capacity as Minister of the Interior, addressed to Citizen Jean-Baptiste Collin, Count of Sussy, State Councillor, Director General of Customs in Paris. It concerns two defective batches of cashmere to be returned duty-free from Switzerland. In the margin is a long handwritten note in black ink by the Count of Sussy. Jean-Antoine Chaptal, Count of Chanteloup, 1756–1832, an eminent chemist, physician, agronomist, industrialist, statesman, educator, and philanthropist, was appointed Minister of the Interior by Napoleon in 1800 and was very active in promoting industrialization and the reorganization of the French administration. He held the position until his resignation on August 6, 1804.
