Incisione in rame; Misure del foglio: 750x980 mm.; inciso di 615x770 mm. Titolo in basso, Margini. Buon esemplare.

Jean Pierre Jazet (1788-1871), uno dei più importanti incisori del XIX secolo. Espose a partire dal 1817 e salì rapidamente alla ribalta, incidendo le opere di molti pittori, tra cui David, Gros, Bellangé o Carle Vernet, e fu insignito della Legion d'onore nel 1846.
Antoine Charles Horace Vernet detto Carle Vernet (1758-1836), pittore di cavalli, allievo del padre Joseph Vernet e di Nicolas Bernard Lépicié. Dipinse scene di genere, di battaglia e di caccia, ma soprattutto si dedicò alla rappresentazione di cavalli, che amava appassionatamente.

Jean Pierre Jazet (1788-1871), one of the most important engravers of the 19th century. He exhibited from 1817 and quickly rose to prominence, engraving the works of many painters, including David, Gros, Bellangé or Carle Vernet, and was awarded the Legion of Honor in 1846.
Antoine Charles Horace Vernet known as Carle Vernet (1758-1836), horse painter, pupil of his father Joseph Vernet and Nicolas Bernard Lépicié. He painted genre, battle and hunting scenes, but above all he devoted himself to the depiction of horses, which he loved passionately.
