4to; 250x160 mm; legatura in mezza pelle blu con angoli, dorso ornato con fleurons e greca in oro, titolo in oro entro tassello rosso, taglio superiore dorato, risguardi marmorizzati, internamente brossura originale con due vignette incise e titolo in rosso e nero. Occhietto e frontespizio in rosso e nero; pp. VIII, 190. 28 figure n.t. e 12 tavole f.t. Bell’esemplare.

Bella opera figurata, con le splendide incisioni di Champoillon, che contiene la traduzione di Mayot rivista e corretta da Paul-Louis Courier, e con la Prefazione di Jules Claretie. L’elegante legatura blu è del 1930 ca. (primi decenni del XX secolo).

Blue quarter leather binding with corners, back decorated with gilt fleurons and Greek fret, gilt title within red label, gilt upper edge, marbled endpapers, original paperback inside with two engraved vignettes and title in red and black. Half-title and Titlepage in red and black; pp. VIII, 190. 28 illustrations in the text and 12 plates out the text. Beautiful specimen.

Beautiful illustratede work, with the splendid engravings of Champoillon, which contains the translation of Mayot revised and corrected by Paul-Louis Courier, and with the Preface by Jules Calretie. The elegant blue binding dates from around 1930. (first decades of the 20th century).
