19th CENTURY ITALIAN HERBARIUM.
An important collection of Italian plants and flowers compiled according to the scientific criteria of 19th-century botany, it is an interesting document that bears witness to the floral landscape of Italy at the time, as well as to developments in botanical research and classification. This herbarium appears to be of the same type as that created by the botanist Antonio Campania between 1812 and 1815, described in volume 5 of the Notiziario della Società Botanica Italiana.
