Magnificent plate, from the “Les Bohémiens” series. Above the procession, at the top left, the inscription: "Ne uoila pas de braues messagers/ Qui uont errants par pays etrangers". The marching procession highlights the woman in the center wearing a large hat topped by a large plume with a child seated in front of her and another rolled up behind her back. In front of her two gentlemen with elaborate plumes and armed with rifles. On foot, behind the woman's horse, a man carries a large arquebus on his shoulder. Two horses follow with certainly less important characters in the bohemian hierarchy: on the one closest to her, a young woman with a bright and intelligent eye is holding a child in her arms while another seems to be sleeping behind her.
