Folio piccolo. 234x170 mm. Legatura in mezza pelle e assi di legno posteriore, fermali in pelle e metallo. Carte 130. Colophon in fine, a carta r2 verso “…M.cccc.lxxxxi. die vero io. Nouembris … Ventijs per Pelegrinum de pasqualibus de Bononia” Testo su due colonne, carattere gotioc, Spazi per iniziali con lettere guida. Incipit a carta a1 rubricato in rosso. Manca la prima carta con il titolo. Restauro nei margini della carta a1.

Legato con: AUGUSTINUS, Aurelius. Aurelii Augustini opuscula plurima quedam non plus impressa … Meditationes.

Carte [9], cccxxxvi, 1 bianca, [1]. Titolo nella prima carta non numerata. Incipit a c. b1 in rosso: Meditationes divi Augustini episcopi hipponensis. Nella carta finale il Registro e la Marca tipografica. Testo su due colonne, carattere gotico, Spazi per iniziali con lettere guida. Mancano: la carta bianca a10 e le ultime due carte numerate 337-338. La carta bianca alla fine è moderna, l’ultima carta non numerata con il margine inferiore restaurato e perdita del Colophon “Impensis & opera Dionysij Bertochi de Bolonia Venetie accuratisme impressorum, 1491, 26 Martij”.

Due rari incunaboli veneziani con le opere di Sant’Agostino. 
Scritto da un Agostino trentaduenne all’indomani della conversione, il Contra Academicos è un dialogo filosofico in tre libri, basato sulle conversazioni realmente avvenute a Cassiciaco nell'autunno del 386.
Le Meditationes sono una raccolta di scritti teologici e filosofici incentrati sull'esplorazione del sé e sulla relazione intima tra l'anima e Dio.

Small folio. 234×170 mm. Half-leather binding with wooden boards at the back, leather and metal clasps. 130 leaves. Colophon at the end, on the verso of leaf r2: “…M.cccc.lxxxxi. die vero io. Nouembris … Ventijs per Pelegrinum de pasqualibus de Bononia”. Text in two columns, Gothic type, spaces for initials with guide letters. Incipit on leaf a1 rubricated in red. The first leaf with the title is missing. Restoration to the margins of leaf a1.

Leaves [9], cccxxxvi, 1 blank, [1]. Title on the first unnumbered leaf. Incipit on leaf b1 in red: *Meditationes divi Augustini episcopi hipponensis*. The Register and the printer’s device appear on the final leaf. Text in two columns, Gothic type, with spaces for initials and guide letters. Missing: the blank leaf a10 and the last two numbered leaves 337–338. The blank leaf at the end is modern; the last unnumbered leaf has a restored lower margin and is missing the colophon: ‘Impensis & opera Dionysij Bertochi de Bolonia Venetie accuratisme impressorum, 1491, 26 Martij’.

Two rare Venetian incunabula containing the works of Saint Augustine. 
Written by a 32-year-old Augustine shortly after his conversion, the "Contra Academicos" is a philosophical dialogue in three books, based on conversations that actually took place at Cassiciacum in the autumn of 386.
The Meditationes are a collection of theological and philosophical writings centred on the exploration of the self and the intimate relationship between the soul and God.
