Famous work of a geographical nature with a rich description of the "Islands belonging to Italy'', which describes the history, customs, naturals of Italy, from the most remote centuries to the sixteenth century. Of particular interest also for the reference to Vespucci's travels (called Alber :, sic; cf. f. 43 verso). The work ends with a long "Descrittione della molto Magnifica Città di Vinegia".
Small 4to, mm. 205x145. Full vellum binding of XVIII century with gilt titles on leather label on spine, red edges. 2 pt. [32], 495, [1]; 9, [5] l. Typographical mark on two title-fronts. Restoration at first pages, some signs of wear. Mainly good specimen.
