Rara edizione con tavole a colori del regno vegetale e animale. Le prime 54 tabelle sono dedicate al regno vegetale e le ultime 6 al regno animale. Ogni pianta e animale è descritto indicando la famiglia, le proprietà generali, il genere, le specie utilizzate in medicina e gli habitat.
Philippe-Joseph-Emmanuel de Smyttère (1800 - 1886) è stato un medico, botanico e storico francese.

4to oblungo, 242x350 mm. Legatura in mezza pergamena e cartonato marmorizzato con angoli. Pp. [2], 6 + 60 tabelle su doppie pagine, i cui margini contengono illustrazioni, molte colorate a mano. Testo su doppia colonna. Foxing e macchie d’umidità.

Rare edition with color plates of the plant and animal kingdoms. The first 54 plates are dedicated to the plant kingdom and the last 6 to the animal kingdom. Each plant and animal is described, indicating its family, general properties, genus, species used in medicine, and habitats.
Philippe-Joseph-Emmanuel de Smyttère (1800–1886) was a French physician, botanist, and historian.

Oblong 4to; 242x350 mm. Quarter vellum and marbled cardboard binding with corners. Pp. [2], 6 and 60 tables on double pages whose margins contain illustrations, many hand-colored. Text on double columns. Foxing and damp stains.
