Incisione su rame con coloritura out-line. 428x582 mm. Margini. Titolo e dati tipografici in alto al centro. Buono stato di conservazione. 


Bella mappa decorativa che raffigura il Medio Oriente, con il Mar Nero e il Mar Caspio a nord, il Mar Rosso e l’Arabia a Sud, Mar Mediterraneo a Ovest, parte dell’odierno Afganistan e del Pakistan a Est. Stampata da Petrus Moular-Sanson, cugino di Guillaume Sanson. Nel 1692 Pierre Mollart-Sanson, acquistò l'intero fondo geografico dei Sanson e nel 1704 acquisì il privilegio di pubblicare tutte le opere di Nicolas e Guillaume Sanson, che continuarono ad essere pubblicate fino al 1730.

Beautiful decorative map depicting the Middle East, with the Black and Caspian Seas to the north, the Red Sea and Arabia to the south, the Mediterranean Sea to the west, part of modern-day Afghanistan and Pakistan to the east. Printed by Petrus Moullart-Sanson, cousin of Guillaume Sanson. 
In 1692 Pierre Moullart-Sanson bought the entire geographic fund from his uncles and aunt. Moullart-Sanson restarted the publishing of Sanson's world atlas, and in 1704 he acquired a privilege for publishing all the works of Nicolas and Guillaume Sanson, which continued to be published until 1730.
