Rara incisione in rame in cui è raffigurata una elegante dama francese seduta davanti un tavolo a zampe leonine con specchio e vari gioielli. 
Arnold van Westerhout è stato un incisore, pittore, disegnatore, editore e stampatore fiammingo. Si stabilì a Roma dove fu un importante incisore ed editore. L'artista è meno noto per i suoi dipinti, che trattavano argomenti religiosi e di genere, che per il suo lavoro di incisore ed editore.

Rare engraving depicting an elegant French lady sitting in front of a lion-footed table with mirror and various jewels.
Arnold van Westerhout was a Flemish engraver, painter, draftsman, publisher and printer. He settled in Rome where he was an important engraver and publisher. The artist is less known for his paintings, which dealt with religious and genre topics, than for his work as an engraver and editor.
