Incisione in rame su foglio volante. Foglio 190x282 mm. Iscrizioni: testo a stampa nel foglio; sotto l’immagine “S. Venanzio M. da Camerino Sopra le cadute”; margine inferiore, a destra “Tipografia Bordandini”. Tracce d’uso.

Rarissimo foglio volante stampato a Forlì, con ritratto inciso del Santo. Nel testo la “Preghiera a San Venanzio Martire per essere preservati dalle cadute”. 
Servolini: “Nel Sei e Settecento Forlì avrà, in compenso, un’abbondante produzione libraria e vanterà tipografi esperti … e nell’Ottocento vedrà la piena affermazione della tipografia Bordandini.”

Condition Report

Copper engraving on Broadsheet. Sheet 190x282 mm. Inscriptions: printed text on the sheet; under the image "S. Venanzio M. da Camerino Above the falls”; lower margin, on the right “Tipografia Bordandini”. Traces of wear.

Extremely rare leaflet printed in Forlì, with an engraved portrait of the Saint. In the text the “Preghiera a San Venanzio Martire per essere preservati dalle cadute” (Prayer to San Venanzio Martire to be preserved from falls). Servolini: "In the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries Forlì will have, on the other hand, an abundant book production and will boast expert typographers ... and in the nineteenth century it will see the full affirmation of the Bordandini typography."
