Litografia in coloritura coeva a maschera. Foglio 430x325 mm. 16 vignette con didascalie in olandese e francese. Strappetti marginali. Margini. Buon esemplare.

Raro foglio volante con 16 vignette colorate in giallo, rosso e blu. Sono raffigurata bambini che giocano o svolgono diverse attività: giocare ai soldati, pattinare, far volare un aquilone, la festa della mamma, la caduta da un albero, e altro. F. A. Beersmans svolse la sua attività di editore a Thurnout, citta nel nord del Belgio, con floride attività nella abbricazione della carta, produzione di carte da gioco, imprese di grafica. Quasi tutte le stampe di Beersmans sono bilingue e colorate con stencil. Erano vendute soprattutto nei Paesi Bassi che in Belgio. F. A. Beersmans morì nel 1897, dopodiché sua vedova e figlia continuarono l'attività per alcuni anni e la passarono a M. Jacobs-Brosens, che bruciò i blocchi di legno nel 1905 e vendette il resto delle stampe al collezionista e folclorista Emile van Heurck.

Stencil lithograph in contemporary coloring. Sheet 430x325 mm. 16 vignettes with captions in Dutch and French. Marginal rips. Margins. Good specimen.

Rare broadsheet with 16 colored vignettes in yellow, red and blue. Children are depicted playing or doing various activities: playing soldiers, skating, flying a kite, Mother's Day, falling from a tree, and more. F. A. Beersmans carried out his activity as a publisher in Thurnout, a city in the north of Belgium, with flourishing activities in the manufacture of paper, production of playing cards, graphics companies. Almost all Beersmans prints are bilingual and stenciled. They were mainly sold in the Netherlands than in Belgium. F. A. Beersmans died in 1897, after which his widow and daughter continued the business for a few years and passed it on to M. Jacobs-Brosens, who burned the wooden blocks in 1905 and sold the rest of the prints to the collector and folklorist Emile van Heurck.
