La Passione. Serie completa di 14 stampe.

Incisioni al bulino. Ognuna di 115 x 75 mm., rifilate all’interno del rame. Ogni tavola con monogramma in nero e data 1521. Inserite nel XIX secolo in due cornici in legno dorato, ciascuna con sette stampe ordinate in verticale. Buono stato di conservazione. 

Magnifica serie creata da Lucas van Leyden nel 1521. L’artista olandese si concentrò sulla caratterizzazione delle persone e del loro comportamento, ricercando soluzioni innovative con grande fantasia e talento narrativo. 
Le scene raffigurate sono: 

1. L’Ultima cena; 
2. Gesù Cristo sul monte degli Olivi; 
3. Il bacio di Giuda e l’arresto di Gesù Cristo; 
4. Gesù Cristo davanti ai giudici; 
5. Gesù Cristo oltraggiato nel Pretorio;
6. La flagellazione; 
7. La corona di spine; 
8. Ecce Homo; 
9. Gesù Cristo porta la croce; 
10. La crocifissione; 
11. La deposizione dalla croce; 
12. La sepoltura; 
13. La Resurrezione.  
14. La discesa al Limbo;

Passion. Complete series of 14 prints.

Burin engravings. Each of 115 x 75 mm. Trimmed inside the platemark. Each plate with black monogram and date 1521. Inserted in the 19th century in two gilded wood frames, each with seven prints arranged vertically. Good condition.

Magnificent series created by Lucas van Leyden in 1521. The Dutch artist focused on the characterization of people and their behavior, seeking innovative solutions with great imagination and narrative talent.
The scenes depicted are:

1. The Last Supper;
2. Jesus Christ on the Mount of Olives;
3. The kiss of Judas and the arrest of Jesus Christ;
4. Jesus Christ before the judges;
5. Jesus Christ outraged in the Praetorium;
6. The scourging;
7. The crown of thorns;
8. Ecce Homo;
9. Jesus Christ carries the cross;
10. The crucifixion;
11. The deposition from the cross;
12. The burial;
13. The Resurrection.
14. The descent into Limbo;
