Rara e raffinata raccolta di opere scientifiche pubblicate nel XVI secolo con importanti studi su Prospettiva, Musica, Ottica e Sfere.

In 4to. 220 x 162 mm. Legatura coeva in pergamena floscia, dorso ricoperto di carta blu del XVIII secolo.
Ex Libris incollato al contropiatto.

2 parti: Pagine [20], 48; [4], 64. Con due frontespizi; la traduzione latina segue con proprio frontespizio, paginazione e segnatura autonome. Alcune annotazioni manoscritte ai margini e sottolineature in inchiostro bruno.

Prima edizione in greco e prima edizione della traduzione latina. È nota un'altra edizione della Catoptrica in greco, stampata nel 1557, ma la sua cronologia non è ancora stata stabilita. L'Ottica di Euclide fu la prima opera greca sulla prospettiva. È illustrato con numerosi diagrammi xilografici.

In 4to. 220 x 162 mm. Contemporary binding in smooth vellum, spine covered with 18th-century blue paper. Ex Libris glued to the inside cover.

2 parts: Pages [20], 48; [4], 64. With two title pages; the Latin translation follows with its own title page, pagination, and independent collation. Some handwritten annotations in the margins and underlining in brown ink.

First edition in Greek and first edition of the Latin translation. Another edition of Catoptrica in Greek is known, printed in 1557, but its chronology has not yet been established. Euclid's Optics was the first Greek work on perspective. It is illustrated with numerous woodcut diagrams.
