In 4to; 190x155 mm. Pergamena parlante del XVII secolo con unghie rimontata, timbrino a secco al piatto anteriore e data incisa in oro, titolo manoscritto al dorso. Pp. (8), 365 [ma 369], (25 di indice). Tagli blu. Frontespizio in rosso e nero con marca editoriale, testo inquadrato da doppia bordura xilografica, 67 incisioni in legno nel testo molte vedute e piante di città. Bell’esemplare che presenta alcune pagine arrossate.

Rara edizione con xilografie raffigurante vedute e piante di città stampate alla maniera di Braun e Hogenberg: Constantinopoli, Gerusalemme, Londra, Ginevra, Vienna, Parigi, Anversa, Bruxelles, Roma (a piena pagina), e molte altre città europee. Vi sono inoltre le descrizioni di Florida, Nova Francia, Nova Spagna, Nova Galicia, Yucatan, Cuba, Brasile, Perù etc.

In 4to; 190 x 155 mm. 17th-century parchment with squares, mounted, blind stamp and gilt engraved date on the front cover, handwritten title on the spine. Pp. (8), 365 [but 369], (25 index). Blue edges. Title page in red and black with publisher's brand, text framed by a double woodcut border, 67 woodcuts in the text, many views and city plans. Handwritten note by a previous owner in black ink. Small hole in the title page vignette, but a fine copy with some browned pages.

Rare edition with woodcuts depicting views and city plans printed in the style of Braun and Hogenberg: Constantinople, Jerusalem, London, Geneva, Vienna, Paris, Antwerp, Brussels, Rome (full page), and many other European cities. There are also descriptions of Florida, Nova Francia, Nova Spagna, Nova Galicia, Yucatan, Cuba, Brazil, Peru etc.
