Glasgow, Robert Foulis, 1745
A rare quarto edition of Sophocles’ seven tragedies in Greek, bound in red morocco. Edited by Thomas Johnson, who added, from page 395, Latin notes for "Electra", "Ajax", "Antigone" and "The Trachiniae". Johnson’s notes had already appeared in 1705. This edition was also published in two octavo volumes, but with inferior print quality.
According to the Italian Catalogation System, there should also be four unnumbered pages following the title page.
