Condition Report

Rare first edition. Olive, antiquarian and bibliographer from Rovigo, he dealt with his writings of Greek and Roman archeology. In this work he describes one of the marbles dedicated to the Egyptian goddess Isis. This monument had just been discovered during the excavations near the Library of Minerva, and Oliva tried to show that it was originally conceived as a votive altar for the cult of Isis.
