Mappa pieghevole intelata di dimensioni totali 670x970 cm. Composta da 21 parti ciascuna di 21 x 13 cm circa. 

Grande carta geografica dell'Impero Ottomano, dove Kiepert viaggiò numerose volte, raccogliendo dati sufficienti per produrre diverse importanti mappe del mondo ottomano tra il 1840 e il 1890. Il geografo Heinrich Kiepert (1818-1899) è generalmente considerato uno dei più importanti cartografi eruditi della seconda metà del XIX secolo, studiando con Ritter all’università di Berlino, con cui realizzò diversi atlanti del mondo moderno.
