In un ambiente voltato, Cristo è seduto col volto sofferente mentre tre soldati con dei bastoni inseriscono un intreccio di rovi sul capo di Cristo. Un quarto soldato, in ginocchio, schernisce Cristo donandogli un bastone da usare come scettro.
